New York’s original COTTON CLUB is the legendary venue that spawned such jazz legends as Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Lena Horne, and so many others. Located in Harlem, COTTON CLUB (also known by the name “Club Deluxe”), was a vibrant scene that saw celebrities and socialites gather nightly to enjoy cutting edge musical entertainment amid the backdrop of the prohibition of the 1920’s.
Here in Japan, the mission has been to bring back a taste of the Golden Age of the original COTTON CLUB, and to recreate a social scene for adult fans. This dream became a reality on November 22, 2005 with the birth of a new COTTON CLUB in Tokyo’s Marunouchi district. Here, visiting world-class artists form the core of a regular slate of exciting, adult-focused jazz performances played in an elegant, luxuriously appointed venue, topped off by a delicious menu of authentic cuisine. They hope that their COTTON CLUB will become a modern celebrity scene, and in doing so write a new chapter for an already legendary live house.
This venue also welcomes stars of the smooth jazz genre.
