The classic, exuberant and vivacious supper club era of the 1940’s was the influence when deciding what the décor of RUMBA should be. We set out to infuse the glitz and glamour of that era mixed in with a contemporary edge. As was the case back then, RUMBA is a place of social engagement where extraordinary live-entertainment and sizzling musicians ignite the stage regularly.
After nearly ten years of exceptional service, Rumba continues to offer its guests the complete dining experience with a tantalizing and adventurous Latin Fusion menu, extensive wine and specialty cocktail list, and an impressive line-up of live entertainers.
The opulent entrance to Rumba’s dining room provides an open and unobstructed view to the bar, main dining room, and mezzanine, as well as the entertainment focal point, the stage and dance floor.
Decorative elements consist of nostalgic oversized tufted red booths accented with real congas. Plush red velvet floor to ceiling drapes add to the authentic Moroccan antique lamps, giving it a Mediterranean flair. Spanish wall sconces and beads, adorn the room with original Argentine antique movie posters, while rich wood, exposed brick, granite and dramatic lighting all combined create this retrospective classic supper-club.
RUMBA Supper Club takes great pride in its commitment to being one of the few venues in the Midwest to offer live entertainment on a regular basis. It’s also the playground of Smooth Chicago and their featured smooth jazz artists like Paul Taylor or Steve Oliver.
