Smooth Jazz and Fine Dining – Acoustix Jazz Café

Atlanta counts Acoustix Jazz café to its list of cultural attractions. Nestled in the tourist district of midtown Atlanta, 840 Marietta Street NW, Atlanta, GA Acoustix Jazz café re-introduces Atlanta to its jazz roots by celebrating authentic jazz of all genres with sophisticated fine dining. With a menu reminiscent of the Harlem Renaissance, delectable exotic entrees are named after prominent jazz musicians from yesterday and today. Acoustix Jazz Café hosts live music at 7pm nightly (Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday Brunch).

Owner Frank Taylor says the restaurant was created for jazz enthusiasts in Atlanta and the surrounding cities and he welcomes them in the upcoming months and years. “Atlanta is known for its musical history but I haven’t seen jazz receive its due here. We wanted to really celebrate Jazz, but also provide Atlantans and tourists alike with an opportunity to experience an exquisite dining experience,” Taylor says. “I have had so many music lovers ask me where the Jazz clubs are here and we haven’t had a consistent place dedicated just to jazz music, because it covers such a wide spectrum. Acoustic Jazz café looks to celebrate the entire spectrum of jazz on a regular basis.”

With nearly two decades of fine culinary experience, UMLCA chef Anthony Sharpe has been retained as head chef at Acoustix Jazz Café. Sharpe says the menu is resplendent with sophisticated dishes inspired from the many jazz influences represented in the club.

With three distinct and separate dining areas, Acoustic Jazz café hosts live Jazz from such greats as Earl Klugh, Rachelle Ferrelle, Al Jarreau and many more. A partnership with Atlanta jazz station WCLK allowes true jazz fans a sneak peek into many of the surprises Acoustix Jazz Café will be hosting over the upcoming months.
